Dr. Brian W Jones
Brian has lived in Ottawa Kansas, on an 80-acre ranch that he designed and built. He converted his home into a Net Zero home in 2015. Using Solar, Wind, and Geothermal technologies, the home is self-sufficient from an energy perspective. In 2023 he added Off-Grid Battery backup to the home. He moved to Franklin County in 1999 to raise 3 daughters and 2 bonus daughters from Brazil while in a small-town environment. Brian has many interests including being a fifth-generation veteran, lifetime member of the American Legion, proud member of Disabled American Vets, former pilot for single engine planes, former professional cowboy, and master scuba diver. Brian thoroughly enjoys traditional gardening, hydroponic gardening, wine making, woodworking, and traveling internationally. Brian retired as an IT Director in multiple industries including: Pharmacy, Legal, Banking, Application Development, Health Care, Retail Computer Stores as well as Professor of Information Technology. He absolutely loves to help by substitute teaches in Ottawa and Franklin County. Brian was a College Professor for about 20 years, teaching a new generation about information technology. Teaching and helping others are in his bloodlines. Teaching and educating were passions in his ancestry. He has now passed this education torch to his daughter. He has an amazing way of helping to educate his real estate clients. Brian has multiple advanced technology degrees and certifications.
